The Company

This Fortune 500 leader in payment processing is one of the largest digital and mobile merchants in the world, serving as an electronic alternative to traditional paper methods like check and money orders.

Location

The company‘s headquarters and operations center is in the United States, though its reach extends globally with offices all over Europe and Asia.

The Challenge

As is commonplace with many organizations of its size, the company identified a need to redefine how they create, deliver and capture value from their digital technologies, which ended up driving several transformation efforts across the enterprise. 

Though they had addressed some of the existing technology gaps, migrating from legacy software to modern, cloud-based solutions, the company was still seeking a product that would encourage collaboration, engagement, and productivity across their distributed workforce. 

But being a global enterprise comes with a unique set of challenges: Not only did the chosen solution need to fulfill their primary culture needs, but it also had to scale effectively and transmit information securely.

The Process

The company began by outlining key areas they wanted to transform with the solution; Namely, Employee training, internal communications, and knowledge-sharing. After some extensive research into the effectiveness of different communication methods, they concluded that video would need to be the primary medium to deliver information going forward. That in mind, they began to seek an easy-to-use solution that would be able to roll out globally. They reached out to CircleHD because of our YouTube-like interface, which was already familiar to many employees and would cut down on the time it took to learn a new software.

Our Approach

Once CircleHD was able to learn more about the company and its goals for the platform, we were able to set up a custom-branded video portal within a day, a much shorter turn-around than other vendors, who took months to supply a proposal and needed a larger upfront cost investment. This allowed the company to instantly invite key team members to collaborate, conduct an evaluation, and test-drive CircleHD’s capabilities without any delays.

In particular, the company’s instance was connected with their SSO so there was no need for user provisioning and employees were able to be authenticated using the active directory. Admins were also able to limit access to resources by employee location, department, and/or job title–another key criteria for decision-making.

The Results

After implementing CircleHD at the company, the company accelerated to peak global employee engagement within two years of using CircleHD’s Enterprise Video Management platform. Over 16,000 users were empowered to upload and comment on videos, with the company’s leaderboard driving content creation through gamification.
